Photo Tips: Sumedh’s One-Third Rule

Sumedh of Passerine Profoundness posted a comment on one of my earlier “Photo of the Day” post, informing me of the Rule of Thirds.

For my fellow rookie photographers out there I thought I’d save you a Google-search on the topic. This is a basic and simple rule, to change an ordinary photo into an interesting or intriguing shot place your primary subject at one of the four yellow dots as shown in the diagram above.
