Our Saturday beach day was instead spent at home with Gary-the-Plumber/Comedian and his sidekick Alex. Together they’ve perfected the Abbott and Costello routine and kept us both entertained and in good spirts … Peanut didn’t find them amusing.

June 13th … My Memorial Day

It’s been 1-year, 52-weeks, 365-days since you left and while the time has eased the pain, the pain still lingers. This pain is both a blessing and a curse; it brings me sadness for what it represents but at the same time it brings me comfort knowing I haven’t forgotten. I know the day will come when I can accept your physical void and with this day it’ll mark the beginning of my complacency.
Today we honor and celebrate your lifetime of accomplishments, today we pray for your transcended soul, today we start the healing … today … we begin complacency.
